In May 2018, Rychen Environmental Protection undertook the transformation of 26 pumps of Xinyu Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., including 12 low-specific-speed double-suction pumps with a specific speed of less than 50 and 14 self-priming pumps of cyclone pool with harsh working environment and extremely low efficiency. There are problems such as non-universal spare parts of circulating water pumps, high failure rate of equipment and high energy consumption. At the same time, it is necessary to optimize the process of the intelligent control system, which is very difficult to transform.

Energy Saving Renovation Project of Circulating Water System of Shanghai Meishan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd.

This project involves ironmaking plant, steel plant and hot rolling plant, a total of 87 water pumps, the scope of the transformation includes improving the hydraulic performance of the pump, optimize the resistance characteristics of the pipe network. After the transformation, the key indicators such as flow and pressure fully meet the production requirements, and the average power saving rate reaches 16%, which has been highly recognized by Meishan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. and gradually promoted in the whole plant of Meishan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd.

Energy Saving Renovation Project of Water Supply and Circulating System of Lingyuan Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd.

The first phase of the project involves 102 power plants, 9 coking plants and 15 ironmaking plants, totaling 126 water pumps. The key parameters such as flow and pressure remain unchanged before and after the technical reform, fully meeting the production needs of Lingyuan Steel. The average power saving rate of technological transformation reached 26.18 per cent, which was highly recognized by Lingyuan Iron and Steel.

Anyang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. Rolling Circulating Water System Energy Saving Project

This technical transformation involves the steel-making and steel-rolling workshop of Anyang Iron and Steel II, with a total of 27 circulating water pumps in 12 systems. After the transformation, the main flow rate, pressure and other key indicators of all systems are not lower than before the technological transformation. The average operating efficiency of the pump reaches 83-84%, and the average power saving rate exceeds 31%. The transformation effect has been highly recognized by Anyang Iron and Steel leaders and users.
