The first phase of the project involves 102 power plants, 9 coking plants and 15 ironmaking plants, totaling 126 water pumps. The key parameters such as flow and pressure remain unchanged before and after the technical reform, fully meeting the production needs of Lingyuan Steel. The average power saving rate of technological transformation reached 26.18 per cent, which was highly recognized by Lingyuan Iron and Steel.

1.1 Enterprise Profile:
Lingyuan Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd., located in Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province, is a steel joint enterprise integrating mining, mineral processing, smelting and rolling. There are 5 blast furnaces and 6 converters, with an annual steel capacity of 6 million tons and 11500 employees.

>The energy saving and environmental protection benefits generated by the project are (calculated by 8000 hours of operation per year and 0.6 yuan per degree of electricity):
>The average power saving rate is 26.18; the annual power saving is about 24.95 million kWh, and the direct economic benefit exceeds 14.97 million yuan;
>About 7,485 tons of standard coal are saved each year, and CO2 emissions are reduced by more than 21,756 tons.
