This project involves several branch plants of Xinye Steel Co., Ltd., including steelmaking, power and oxygen production, 14 cooling systems and 22 high-efficiency water pumps. After the transformation, the water pump is running in good condition and the power saving effect is remarkable, which has been highly recognized by customers.
1. Project Profile
1.1 Enterprise Profile:
Hubei Xinye Steel Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Xinye Steel) is one of the earliest existing iron and steel enterprises in China. Its predecessor, Daye Iron Works, is an important part of Han Yeping Coal and Iron Works Co., Ltd. in the late Qing Dynasty. It has a long history and is known as the cradle of China's iron and steel industry. With an annual output of about 2 million tons of special steel, Xinye Steel is a medium-thick wall seamless steel pipe base and alloy bar base with the most complete specifications and the largest diameter.
1.2 Project Overview:

3. Benefit analysis
According to the data of the National Development and Reform Commission, the production of 10000 kWh of electricity requires 3 tons of standard coal and 8.72 tons of CO2 emissions. The energy saving and environmental protection benefits generated by the project are (calculated at 8000 hours of operation per year and 0.6 yuan per kWh of electricity):
>the average power saving rate is 30.1 percent;
>The annual electricity saving is about 9.3 million kWh, and the direct economic benefit exceeds 5.57 million yuan;
>It saves about 2789 tons of standard coal and reduces CO2 emissions by more than 8100 tons per year.
